Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he is expecting one of his busiest ever summers in the transfer market has he looks to build a side capable of challenging for promotion next season.
Warnock feels that he now knows who will be staying and going in the summer and he is already in discussions with agents about possible new signings for next season.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said "I think on most decisions what I have to make in my own mind I am made up. I am already going down the line of talking to agents and other people regarding recruitment."
Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has been in the country this week and Warnock has been in discussions regarding next season and he believes he is going to get the support required financially.
Warnock also knows he will have to play his part by trimming the squad to free up wages.
"I have had long chats with the chairman this week and we have to start as soon as the season ends because we do need quite a few players.
I think he is going to be very supportive in that respect. He knows how I am and he is going to try as much as he can to get me the finance etc.
At the same time, players will be leaving so we will lose people off the wage bill. It is going to be something we do together. He is going to try to find me the finance that I want to get us up at the top end of the table and they are working very hard behind the scenes to get the finance," continued Warnock.
Warnock is wanting to start his clear-out and rebuilding as soon as the season ends and admits he is in for a very busy summer, when he added, "I think it is going to be amongst the busiest summers I have ever had at a football club. I think it is on a par with when I took over at Crystal Palace when we had to change the squad dramatically.
We still need a squad of twenty-one players. There are players in contract that I will try to move on or want to move on.
There are always some players that will get back into the reckoning but I think the club needs new blood and it needs a certain type of player to come in and the sooner we can get to the end of the season the better."
As well as bringing in new players, Warnock is already in discussions with the players he wants to remain at Elland Road who will be out of contract by next summer.
Warnock has already offered young defender Aidan White a new deal and he plans to talk to the versatile player again at the start of next week.
He has spoken to captain Robert Snodgrass about a new deal to keep him at the club with the sort after winger out of contract in the summer of 2013.
Warnock is expected to start negotiations with this seasons leading goalscorer Ross McCormack and key midfielder Adam Clayton over the next few weeks, with the pair also out of contract next summer.
Defender Darren O`Dea is also high on Warnock`s list of players to keep with the Republic of Ireland international on loan with Leeds from Glasgow Celtic until the end of the season.
