LUFC Warnock - not a clue when O'Brien will return

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he does not have a clue when defender Andy O`Brien will be back in the squad.

O`Brien was all set to make his first start for Warnock in the Good Friday game at Reading before pulling out with a hamstring injury in the week leading up to the game and Warnock says he is not sure if he will be able to return this season.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "He was going to play against Reading but he pulled out with a hamstring injury. It was actually a scar tissue injury and he is never going to run without feeling something in that area. I haven`t got a clue at the moment how long Andy will be out for and whether he will be able to play a game before the end of the season."

O`Brien has made just one brief substitute appearance at Coventry City in February since refusing to play for the club following the win at Leicester City in November with the player reportedly suffering from depression.

The veteran defender only returned to training with the club at the end of January and Warnock said that the player was a long way short of full fitness following his appointment at the end of February.

O`Brien is contracted at Elland Road until the summer of 2013 having signed for the club in January 2011 after a successful loan spell from Bolton Wanderers.
