LUFC O'Dea - We need to put on a good show

Leeds United defender Darren O`Dea says the team must put on a good show between now and the end of the season.

Leeds lost their third game in a row when losing 2-0 to Derby County on Easter Monday and only have pride to play for in the final four games of the season.

O`Dea is on loan to Leeds for the season from Glasgow Celtic and he could have his mind already on the European championships with Republic of Ireland in the summer.

The Irish international recently won the Republic of Ireland young player of the year and he will be hoping to be part of manager Giovanni Trapattoni`s squad for the finals in the Ukraine and Poland.

O`Dea feels the Leeds side owe the Leeds fans something from the final four games of the season. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, O`Dea said, "With four games to go, we have fans that will travel to those games and we need to put up a good show and hopefully get some good results.

"We have three tough games after Peterborough this Saturday, so the summer hasn`t started just yet."

O`Dea returned to the Leeds side against Derby after serving a two-match suspension for reaching ten yellow cards this season.

The 25 year old has admitted that he would like to make his loan move from Celtic a permanent one in the summer.

Leeds boss Neil Warnock has also expressed his desire to sign the player who has made 36 appearances for Leeds this season.
