LUFC Leeds on brink of another unwanted record

Leeds United are once again on the brink of an unwanted Elland Road record after losing their tenth home game of the season against Derby County.

The defeat to Derby was their tenth on home soil this season, something they have only ever done on two previous occasions in their history.

Leeds lost ten games during their relegation season of 2006/07 whilst you have to go back all the way to the 1946/47 season for the only other time they lost ten at home.

The ten defeats in 46/47 was over a 42 game season when they were relegated from the First Division with just 18 points.

The whites did lose nine at home in the Premier League during the 2002/03 season in just nineteen home games.

Leeds must avoid defeat in their last two home games against Peterborough United and Leicester City to set another unwanted record.

Leeds have already set an unwanted record under Warnock, when they suffered their heaviest ever home defeat in the 7-3 loss to Nottingham Forest last month.

Only Nottingham Forest (12) have lost more home games than Leeds this season and Leeds have the worst defensive record having conceded 38 goals.

They have only ever conceded more than 38 goals in a season in their history, when they conceded 46 back in the 1959/60 season.

Leeds have now failed to win in any of Neil Warnock`s five games in charge, losing four an drawing one, something they haven`t done since the 2005/06 season when they drew four and lost one.

I wasn't expecting to have to go through the clubs history to find this out. I thought we would have lost more in one of our relegation seasons. A half decent home record this season and we would have been on the brink of the auto's. Hard to believe we had lost only one game at home in a year up to the defeat to Blackpool in November. Our last 16 at home read, won 4, drawn 3 lost 9, scored 19, conceded 35. Two of those wins have been winners deep into injury time against Burnley and Doncaster.

home form before moving away end to west stand, won 3 lost 1 (v Boro wi 2 sendings off). after that won 5 drawn 3 lost 9. couldn't be as simple as that could it?

Lets face it some of the early season wins were fortunate in the extreme. We played rubbish and won but that cant last and we have nbow been found out.

We beat Crystal Palace and Bristol City and should have lost both and we weren't brilliant against Portsmouth.
