Neil Warnock feels a lot of his squad are aware they will not be at Elland Road next season and it could be the problem behind their bad run of results.
Leeds have now picked up just nine points in ten games since Warnock`s arrival and have yet to win at Elland Road in five attempts after going down to a 2-0 defeat against Derby County.
Warnock was left disappointed after witnessing another defeat and he wishes the season was now over. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "I am disappointed. I think all the Leeds fans know now, we just have to grin and bear it. We have four games to go and the end of the season cannot come soon enough.
"I can honestly say that I thought every one of the lads tried their hardest and I think that shows you what is lacking at the club. When you look at them, is there many what I call 'Leeds United players.`
Leeds have now failed to score in their last three games and Warnock believes the players form is down to their awareness that they will not be part of his plans at Elland Road next season. "That could be the problem because many of the players realise that they will not be here next season and I think that might be the problem.
I wish today had been the last game of the season, because we still have another four games. I will be looking at a few other players and my selection on Saturday will show my disappointment," added Warnock.
Last season he led Queens Park Rangers to the championship title on the back of 24 clean sheets in 46 games over the season
Warnock feels the squad lacks quality in most areas and he plans to build from the back next season. "We have not got enough quality in any area. I think you have to start from the back. You have to be a solid defence and I do not see that. You have to have a strong midfield and I do not see that either. I think the forwards have worked hard and in another situation, they might have come off," continued the Leeds boss.
He now feels it cannot get much lower for Leeds this season after seeing them slip into the bottom half of the championship for the first time since the opening months of the season. Warnock continued "I don`t think it can get much lower for Leeds United. I think this is as low as it can get with four games to go."
Leeds have now lost ten games at home this season, their worst home record since relegation from the championship in 2007 when they also lost ten games.
