LUFC O'Brien and Nunez miss out on opportunity
Neil Warnock has revealed his plans for the trip to Reading were hampered by injuries and family concerns for a number of his players.
Warnock was to give Andy O`Brien his first start since November and Ramon Nunez was also going to make a rare start but his plans had to be changed after the pair suffered injuries in the week.
Ross McCormack was also forced to miss training the day before the game after pulling up in training and captain Robert Snodgrass has been in Scotland all week with his mother in hospital.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "We were decimated in the week. Andy O`Brien was going to play but he stretched his hamstring. I was going to play Ramon Nunez and he stretched his calf on Thursday.
"Ross McCormack had to stop training on Thursday and Robert Snodgrass has been up in Scotland all week because his mother has been in hospital not very well and he only came down on Thursday night."
Warnock will be forced into another enforced change for the game with Derby County on Monday with Zac Thompson now suspended following his sending off.
He will be boosted by the return to the squad of Darren O`Dea and Paul Connolly who have now served their suspensions.
