LUFC Warnock frustrated not to be in play-off mix

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock says he is disappointed and frustrated that Leeds season is seemingly over with six games of the season remaining.

Leeds are still mathematically in with a chance of the play-offs being six points adrift of sixth place with six games remaining, but with Leeds inconsistency he cannot see them winning enough games from their remaining six to get into the play-off places.

The teams in and around the play-offs have been falling over each other recently to give other teams the opportunity to move into the top six but Leeds have not won back to back games since beating Nottingham Forest and Millwall at the end of November and the beginning of December.

Warnock feels the side should be right in the middle of the action going into the final month of the season. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "It is frustration and disappointment for me. The pressure should not be off and we should be right in the middle of it all, that is the most frustrating thing, but that`s football.

"You never get anything easy in football and you have to work hard for it and that is what we will have to do."

Leeds begin the Easter Bank Holiday period with an away trip to the form side in the championship Reading, who look well set to return to the Premier League after a three-year gap.

Derby are then the visitors to Elland Road on Monday with Leeds still looking for their first home win since Warnock arrived, having lost three and drawn one of the four games played.
