LUFC Brown wanting new Leeds deal

LUFC Brown wanting new Leeds deal

Leeds United midfielder Michael Brown is hoping he has done enough to earn himself a new deal at Elland Road.

The midfielder joined Leeds last summer on a one year deal with the option of another year and he is hoping he has done enough impress new manager Neil Warnock since his arrival in February to earn a new deal.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Brown said, "We will wait and see what the club want to do but I think have done enough. I think I could have done a lot better this season but some of it was down to form and some down to opportunity and selection.

"I am just glad to be playing football and play as many games as I can for the team and hopefully I am here next season with a new deal and ready to go with a few new players and then a big push to try and get us in the Premier League."

The 35 year old has made 23 appearances for Leeds this season and he has started all eight games since Warnock arrived.

The arrival of the manager, who he worked with during their time together at Sheffield United, saw an upturn in form for the midfielder.

He recently scored his first goal for the club in the team`s home defeat to Nottingham Forest
