LUFC Webber looking for consistency

Leeds United winger Danny Webber is hoping the side can dig out results over the last month of the season rather than the inconsistent form that has plagued Leeds all season.

Leeds now find themselves five points behind the play-off places again after Birmingham won at Doncaster on Friday night and Webber knows Leeds will have to be much more consistent in their last seven games if they are to have any chance of finishing in the top six.

The teams in and around the play-offs have struggled to put consistent runs together recently and Webber is hoping Leeds can find the consistency in the run in to claim a play-off spot.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Webber said, "Everyone is taking points off each other. That is what makes the championship what it is.

"We need to be a bit more stable and find a bit of consistency and dig out some results. If we won four or five games 1-0 between now and the end of the season, we will be happier with that than have it up and down."

Webber has made six appearances for Leeds since becoming Neil Warnock`s first signing at the club at the beginning of March.

The 30 year old has made just one start so far but he could be in line to start against one of his former clubs with Aidan White struggling to shake off an ankle injury.

Webber made 80 appearances during three years at Vicarage Road and he has fond memories of his time at Watford although he will be looking to send them home pointless today. "I really enjoyed my time at Watford; it was where I first played regular first team football. They are good people, good fans and I had a good time down there.

"I will not want them to get any points against us on Saturday though,"
added Webber.

Watford come into the game in good form having remained unbeaten in March with four wins and two draws.

A win for Watford today would move them level on points with Leeds.
