LUFC Warnock - White injury not serious

Neil Warnock is hopeful Aidan White will be ok after limping out of the win at Millwall.

White limped out of the game just past the hour with an ankle injury but Warnock says he was preparing to bring off the versatile player for Danny Webber at the time anyway.

Warnock is not expecting White`s injury to be a major problem with Leeds facing a crucial run in to the season.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "White went over on his ankle but I was thinking about bringing him off for Webber at the time anyway, so it wasn`t a problem. I don`t think it will be a long-term injury."

The Leeds academy product is enjoying his most successful season at Elland Road since making his debut in August 2008.

White has made 38 appearances for Leeds this season and has played at left back as well as on the right and left wing.

He has also broke into the Republic of Ireland under 21 side this season and has featured in all five of their games this season and he scored his first international goal in their win over Liechtenstein in the European 2013 qualifier last time out.

His form was recognised by the football writers association of Ireland when he was one of three players shortlisted for the under 21 player of the year award recently, with the award eventually going to Robert Brady at Hull City.

The 20 year old is out of contract in the summer at Elland Road, having already turned down the offer of a new deal once by the club.
