LUFC Leeds v Nottingham Forest Over the years

The two sides have met on 42 occasions at Elland Road with Leeds winning 20, Nottingham Forest 10 and 12 draws.

The first time the two sides met was during the 1920/21 season when they shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

Five of the first six encounters at Elland Road ended in a draw.

Leeds first win came during the 1927/28 season when they won 4-0.

Forest enjoyed their first win at the tenth attempt during the 1953/54 season, when they won 2-0.

Leeds biggest win came during the 1968/69 and 1971/72 season when they won both games 6-1.

Of Forest`s ten wins, five of them came in a row during a three-season spell at the end of the 1970`s.

Forest have enjoyed a 4-1 success on two occasions, during the FA Cup in 1979/80 and in the Premier League in 1992/93.

Leeds are unbeaten in the last five encounters between the two sides.

When the sides met last season at Elland Road, Leeds won 4-1.

Chris Cohen was sent off for the visitors early in the game and Leeds made their extra man advantage tell with goals from Max Gradel (2), Jonny Howson and Luciano Becchio sealing the win.
