LUFC Warnock - We need our best run of the season

Whilst Neil Warnock believes Leeds can still get into the play-offs come the end of the season he feels they will have to put their best run of the season together to get into the top six.

Warnock won for the first time in charge of Leeds in four attempts in the 2-0 win at Middlesbrough last Sunday to move Leeds back to within four points of the play off places.

With clubs above them still having games in hand, Warnock believes they need to be more level headed going into the final ten games of the season.

Speaking on LUTV, Warnock said, "I think we need to be a little more level headed where we are having played more games and taken fewer points, it is not rocket science that we need to win at least five of our six home games and take a few points on the road to give us a chance.

"We will have to have our best run of the season to get anywhere near. I think the lads are capable but it is whether they can keep the consistency, that they have shown me they are capable of and keep it up until the end of the season."

Whilst Leeds have won just one of Warnock`s four games, they have been beaten in just the one and have kept clean sheets in three of the four games.

The game Leeds lost; they dominated proceedings against league leaders Southampton and Warnock says he would take three points and poor performances between now and the end of the season. "I would like to think we can play poorly on Saturday and win. I hope we are not clapped off for losing again.

"Results are more important than how you play at this stage of the season when you are going for something because results are more important than how you play,"
added the Leeds boss.

Leeds are currently on 53 points and will probably need 7 wins from their final 10 games to have a realistic chance of reaching the play-offs.

Beat West Ham and I can see us winning 5 of 6 home games. We also owe Millwall one away. The last time I went there we won, so hopefully that is an omen.
