LUFC Bates - We fear no one

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates says they should fear no one in the run in to the season and believes they should all start worrying about Leeds.

Leeds face West Ham on Saturday who have just slipped out of the automatic promotion places in midweek and it will bring to an end a run of four games against sides above them in the table.

So far Leeds have picked up four points from a possible nine but were unlucky to come away with nothing from the home game against Southampton, when despite dominating, they lost 1-0 after an inspired goalkeeping performance by Kelvin Davis in the saints goal.

Leeds faced tricky trips to Hull City and Middlesbrough last week.

They held Hull to a 0-0 draw at the KC Stadium, who are now unbeaten in ten games before winning at 4th placed Middlesbrough 2-0, who had won four of their previous five games.

Bates now feels they have no one to fear as they make a late push for a play-off place.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Bates said, "After the results against Hull, Southampton, even though we lost, but the performance and Middlesbrough, we have no-one to fear. They should all be worrying about us now."

Leeds have six games at home in their final ten games of the season with West Ham the only side currently in the ten in the championship.

They do still face four tricky trips on the road with games against promotion chasing Reading, Blackpool and Cardiff City as well as a trip to old foes Millwall.
