Warnock - I expect the same level of performance

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock is demanding the same level of performance from his players every week after seeing his Leeds side easily brush aside fourth placed Middlesbrough at the Riverside.

The game was Warnock`s fourth in charge since taking over as Leeds manager and the performances have been in a marked contrast to those that were being shown prior to his arrival.

Warnock says he is expecting to see the same level of drive and commitment that he has seen so far.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "The performance is important. They have to play like that every game, whether we win or not.

"It is important that we give that sort of physical part of the game. I want that sort of drive and I want it for the rest of the season."

Leeds have now kept three clean sheets in four games since his arrival, having conceded 48 goals in 32 games prior to that this season.

A number of players look reborn. Michael Brown is showing the form that saw him become a big money transfer during his time under Warnock at Sheffield United.

Adam Clayton is showing the form that endeared him to the Leeds faithful in the first few months of the season with a never say die attitude.

Luciano Becchio looks like the striker that made him a huge fans favourite in his first three seasons at Elland Road. The Argentinian is back to his bustling best and giving the opposition defenders a rough, tough 90 minutes, which had been lacking so far this season.

Tom Lees and Darren O`Dea are looking a solid partnership in the centre of defence and are getting better with every game.
