Warnock has brought in Danny Webber on a short-term deal since his arrival and he has also brought in experienced defender Paul Robinson in on loan from Bolton Wanderers for a month.
Robinson has spent the vast majority of his career in the Premier League and championship and he has won promotion to the top flight on three occasions during a 16-year career in the game.
Warnock says Robinson certainly fits the bill when he talks about the type of player he is looking for to take the club forward.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "It is a certain type of player I am looking for, to bring into the squad and Paul Robinson fits that bill. There are two or three players in that mould, which I like.
"I think we need an influx of players, probably not in numbers but in quality to give us a better chance next season.
"I think we need a bit more quality in areas rather than quantity, I think we already have quantity. I am looking for that little spark that we need, which we are probably missing in certain situations and I am looking all the time now, but I am not going to give up on this year."
Warnock likes to sign players that he is used to working with.
Former Leeds midfielder Shaun Derry followed Warnock to QPR after he left Crystal Palace and his goalkeeper at Sheffield United Paddy Kenny joined him at Rangers as they won the championship title last season.
