LUFC Lees and O'Dea have been excellent

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock was full of praise for his central defenders Tom Lees and Darren O`Dea after keeping their second clean sheet in three games.

Leeds battled to a 0-0 draw at Hull City on Tuesday night to make it back-to-back away clean sheets and they have conceded just one goal in three games since Warnock took over as Leeds manager.

Warnock admitted when he took over at Elland Road that the defence was a major problem and he would be looking to strengthen in this area but he says the pair have done excellent since his arrival.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said "I think he (Tom Lees) has improved every game since I have had him. Against Doncaster, him and Darren (O`Dea) were a little bit suspect but they have worked very hard.

"The goal against Southampton we could have prevented but they have been excellent."

Warnock did strengthen his defence on Tuesday when he signed Paul Robinson from Bolton Wanderers on loan until April 9th.

The experienced defender can play anywhere across the defence and he was an unused substitute in the draw at Hull.

O'Dea looks like a disaster waiting to happen every time someone attacks him on the floor. Lees looks to be getting back to decent form but needs a better partner.
