LUFC Warnock - I cannot fault the performance

LUFC Warnock - I cannot fault the performance

Neil Warnock said he could not fault his team`s performance after keeping their second clean sheet in three games since his arrival but he is still waiting to see his first goal after another goalless draw.

Warnock was happy with the performance although he felt they could have worked harder in the first half as they were pegged back towards half time with Andy Lonergan making a couple of good saves to keep the game goalless.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "They cannot work any harder and I cannot fault them really. We lacked a bit of quality in certain areas but it is difficult here on this pitch.

"I thought the attitude was superb. I thought we could have done better in the first half has we did not play quick enough but in the second half I thought we did a lot better.

"We got in better positions and we had two or three opportunities but we couldn`t quite finish it off.

"I think goals will come, I can`t fault the attitude tonight. It is a tough place to come. You have seen Hull`s record, they do not concede many and you can see why.

"I think all the lads want to keep the shirt now and long may it last."

Leeds have now kept back to back clean sheets on the road for the first time since December 2009 although it is also the first time they have failed to score in three consecutive games since March/April 2010.
