LUFC Warnock - We need at least eight or nine wins

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock believes the side have to win at least eight or nine of their remaining twelve games to reach the play-offs.

Leeds are currently in tenth place, six points off the play off places and with a difficult run of fixtures coming up. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "We have to win eight or nine games out of twelve and you have seen run in. We have Hull away, Middlesbrough away and West Ham at home.

Warnock jokingly commented that three wins against these teams and he would fancy Leeds chances. "If we beat them three I think we have hell of a chance, but I wouldn`t put money on it if I was you."

The new Leeds boss says things will be much clearer after these three games and he believes a return of six points or more would give them a great chance. "In my own mind I am going to try and win every game. We will know in the next week or two, we have to beat all these teams. We have to go to Hull who have got probably the best defensive record, Middlesbrough are on a high and then we have West Ham at home who win more games away than at home.

"These three games are probably our most difficult games so if we come out with no points we know we can forget it. If we come out with six or seven points we have a great chance," continued Warnock.

Leeds also still have to travel to Reading, Blackpool and Cardiff City in a difficult final month of the season, which ends with a home game with big spending and improving Leicester City.
