LUFC Pearson - Leeds have enquired about Mills

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has confirmed that Leeds United have enquired about defender Matt Mills.

Leeds have been linked with a move for the Leicester club captain after he had been dropped for their last two games.

Pearson says that despite interest from Leeds he is still very much a Leicester player.

Speaking on BBC East Midlands Pearson said "There has been interest from fellow Championship side Leeds.

'At the moment it is very much the case that he is our player and we will utilise him like any other player here. Until that changes, that is the situation.

'He is like every other player at the club. We have a squad of players, he is one of our employees and we will see what happens.'

Leeds manager Neil Warnock admitted that one area he was looking to strengthen upon his arrival was a defence that have conceded 48 goals already this season.

Warnock has also been lined with Bolton Wanderers defender Paul Robinson and Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill.

So far, Warnock has brought in attacking player Danny Webber who had been without a club since his release from Portsmouth at the end of last season.
