LUFC Bates - Anything is still possible

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates still feels anything is possible if the club can put a run together between now and the end of the season with what he called a lot of six pointers still to come.

Leeds dropped more points at Portsmouth on Saturday in a 0-0 draw but despite more dropped points they are still just four points outside the play-off places.

Bates says that with so many games to come against sides above them, there is still plenty to play for. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Bates said, "We are four points behind with thirteen games to go. You have to remember when Norwich came through to win promotion they came from nowhere and surged in the last thirteen games, so there are lots to play for.

""We have to play all the clubs above us. The negative amongst us will say, they will be hard, whilst the positive amongst us will say they are all six pointers."

Leeds next four games are all against sides currently above them in the championship table, starting with the home game against current leaders Southampton on Saturday. This is followed with local games at Hull City and Middlesbrough before facing pre-season favourites and current second placed West Ham United at Elland Road.
