LUFC Ross effort was clearly in - Snodgrass

Robert Snodgrass thought that Ross McCormack`s effort on goal was over the line after the officials waved away Leeds goal appeals.

Snodgrass was the closest man to the goal bound effort as he headed home the rebound after it came off the underside of the crossbar only for it to be ruled out for offside.

Speaking on LUTV, Snodgrass said, I thought it crossed the line but my natural reaction was to make sure it crossed the line. I think I was offside but I didn`t think Darren (O`Dea) was. The linesman was level with the six-yard box when Ross shot so he had a good angle. Sometimes you get them and sometimes you don`t.

It was a goal but we will now move on to next week."

McCormack was convinced his effort had crossed the line as he wheeled away towards the dugout to celebrate.

The officials had a bad afternoon with the referee (Phillip Gibbs) and the same assistant failing to see a deliberate handball by Leeds defender Tom Lees, which would have resulted in a penalty in the first half.
