LUFC Snodgrass - It was a good team performance

New Leeds United captain Robert Snodgrass thought it was a good team performance in the 0-0 draw at Portsmouth.

It was the first game under new manager Neil Warnock and the new boss had certainly been working on the defensive side of the team as they kept just their seventh clean sheet of the season.

Leeds had their chances to win the game. Ross McCormack saw an effort come out of the underside of the bar and both Leigh Bromby and Luciano Becchio were denied by good save by Portsmouth goalkeeper Stephen Henderson.

Speaking on LUTV, Snodgrass said, "I thought it was a great team performance today and we got the clean sheet we have been craving for.

"If Leigh Bromby or Luciano would have taken their chances we would have won the game but it wasn`t to be, so we will move onto next week."

The draw sees Leeds remain four points of the play off places in tenth place but they now face four games against sides currently above them in the table.

The top two, Southampton and West Ham both have to come to Elland Road and they face local trips to Middlesbrough and Hull City.
