LUFC Bruce - Warnock is a great appointment

Leeds United defender Alex Bruce believes the club have made a great appointment in Neil Warnock following his arrival at the club on Saturday.

Warnock watched from the stands on Saturday as Leeds came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 with a winner in the 99th minute and Bruce says he did play his part in the Leeds victory, with his input before and during the game. Speaking on the official website Bruce said "He spoke to us and his know-how of the game rubs off on you straight away.

'He has a good way of putting things across and you knowing what your job is."

Bruce believes that the vastly experienced manager can now lead Leeds back into the Premier League for the first time since 2004 and get back to where they belong "Everyone in football knows what he's all about and his reputation in football speaks for itself.

'I think it's a great appointment by the club and hopefully we can push forward and get this club back where it belongs, which is the Premier League,"
continued Bruce.

Saturday was also a good day for Bruce as he made just his second start for Leeds this season.

He looked like he was heading out of Elland Road when he was loaned out to West Yorkshire neighbours Huddersfield Town in November with a view to a permanent move when the transfer window reopened in January.

Bruce was called back from his loan over the festive period due to a defensive crisis at the club and he made his first start of the season in the 2-1 win over Burnley on January 2nd.

The defender will now hope to stake his claim for a regular place in the side under Warnock, as Leeds push for a play-off place in the final fourteen games of the season.

Wouldn't it have been ironic had he joined Huddersfield to get away from Grayson
