LUFC Redfearn - Warnock made a difference

Leeds United caretaker manager Neil Redfearn says new Leeds boss Neil Warnock made a difference in his first game since taking over as boss.

Warnock was appointed as new Leeds boss on Saturday morning and he watched the game from the stands as Redfearn took charge of his last game in temporary charge.

Doncaster Rovers looked like spoiling the afternoon when they led 2-0 early in the second half but Redfearn said the presence of Warnock and a the things he passed on, made a difference as the side came back to win with a dramatic late winner.

Peaking on Yorkshire Radio, Redfearn said, "We looked poor first half and we couldn`t get anything going. Just the presence of Neil Warnock and one or two things he passed down through half time, it made a big difference. It is good to have him on board and it is good to have a victory to get us going again.

"He came in at half time and said a few things. He is the gaffer and that is how it works, I have only been minding it whilst the club made their decision. He is an experienced guy and the things that he said made a difference."

Redfearn now goes back to his coaching role after four games in charge with Leeds securing six points from a possible twelve.
