LUFC Warnock looking forward to one last challenge
New Leeds United manager Neil Warnock believes he has one big challenge left in him.
Warnock was confirmed as the new Leeds boss on Saturday ahead of the game with Doncaster Rovers and the vastly experienced 63 year old says he wants to deliver Premier League football to the fans of Leeds United.
Speaking on the official website, Warnock said, 'I feel I have one big challenge left in me and believe Leeds is a club that should be in the Premier League.
'I want to be the man who is able to deliver this for a set of fans who never cease to amaze me with their numbers and their loyalty.
'Having met with Ken Bates it was an easy decision to take up the challenge and with his support, we share the same vision of getting Leeds United in the Premier League.'
Warnock has signed an eighteen-month contract at Elland Road and will be looking for his eighth promotion as a League manager, which would be a League record.
The often outspoken Warnock has won seven promotions with six different clubs since his first promotion with Scarborough in 1987.
As well as Scarborough, he has also won promotion with Notts County, Huddersfield Town and Plymouth Argyle in the lower leagues.
In recent years, he has steered both Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers into the Premier League, with his last promotion coming just last season when he led Rangers to the Championship title.
