LUFC Latest betting on next Leeds boss

Another few days have passed by and we have another new favourite for the vacant Leeds United manager`s job.

Since the book opened following the sacking of Simon Grayson last Wednesday, Neil Warnock, Lee Clark, Dave Jones and Billy Davies have all been short priced favourites.

Since Ken Bates announced his decision on Wednesday to give caretaker manager Neil Redfearn at least the next three games, Redfearn has seen his odds for the job tumble.

When the initial odds were announced last week, Redfearn was around 12/1 to take over permanently but he is now as short as 11/10 with William Hill to get the job. The biggest price you can currently get on Redfearn is 6/4 with Bet365.

The opening favourite Neil Warnock has remained steady in the market and remains second favourite at generally around 7/2.

The shortest price you can get on any of the other previous favourites are, Dave Jones 7/1, Billy Davies 6/1 and Lee Clark 11/1.

Barnsley boss Keith Hill refused to rule himself out of the running for the Leeds job at his press conference on Thursday and he is between 8/1 and 12/1 to succeed Grayson.

Former Leeds loan player Dougie Freedman is the latest to be linked with the job.

Freedman is doing a good job at Crystal Palace after just a year in charge at Selhurst Park.

The bookies cannot make up their mind with Freedman and he is anything from 8/1 with Ladbrokes to 40/1 with William Hill.

Redfearn has the next week to bolster his claims for the job whilst in the meantime the rumours will continue.
