LUFC O'Dea impressed with Redfearn

Leeds United defender Darren O`Dea has been impressed with caretaker manager Neil Redfearn since taking over from Simon Grayson last week.

Redfearn has already taken charge of one game, with Leeds producing a good performance in a 3-0 win at Bristol City.

The caretaker manager has been told he will be in charge of the next three games and O`Dea says Redfearn has quickly put his stamp on the side, wanting them to do things his way and is not happy to go through the motions whilst a new manager is appointed.

"I think with the caretaker, sometimes they come in and just look after the team if you like but he has come in and straight away put his own ideas into it and he is not going through the motions," said O`Dea speaking on LUTV.

O`Dea says it is clear that Redfearn wants the job and he says the players are more than happy with the way things have gone since he took charge. "He obviously wants the job and he`s put his own ideas in and we have all taken to it. He has come in and wanted things done a different way. Straight away, we have had to do that and we have come off the back of a very good result, our best result in a while.

"Obviously results breeds` confidence into everyone and you are not going to argue with that so everyone is happy with the way it is going,"
continued O`Dea.

After beating Bristol City in Redfearn`s first game in charge, Leeds will be looking to make it back to back wins for the first time since defeating Nottingham Forest and Millwall at the end of November and beginning of December.

Shame we can't say the same about the player. Thing is, when O'Brien is fit I think it will be Lees dropped and not O'Dea. He will be suspended soon anyway.

O'Dea and Lees need games together. The defence has been changed far too often over the past few years.
