LUFC White latest player to back Redfearn

Leeds United defender Aidan White is the latest player to come out and back Neil Redfearn for the vacant manager`s job.

White follows Captain Andy Lonergan and striker Ross McCormack in saying Redfearn would be the ideal replacement for Simon Grayson who was sacked last week.

Speaking on the official website, White said, "He was a fantastic player and he has bags of experience.

"He played a lot of league games and I enjoyed working with him over the past week or so. I`d back him all the way, however long he is in charge for.

"I want to play as well as I can for him, me and the club. As a professional that is what you have to do.

"You can`t go out thinking I want to play for this manager and that manager. Personally I do want to play for Redders, I think he is a great manager and he must have a chance."

Redfearn started with a 3-0 win at Bristol City last week and chairman Ken Bates says he will get at least the next three games to state his case for a permanent appointment.

Leeds face three games in seven days, starting with a home game with Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

They then travel to Coventry City on Tuesday before returning to Elland Road and a home game with Doncaster Rovers on the Saturday.

Redfearn is the current favourite to take over at Leeds and he will be hoping to have done enough in the next three games to be rewarded with the job.

Seems the players want him. He looks shoed in to get the job if he can get the results in the next week.

Looks like its turning into a Redfearn lovefest at Thorp Arch. Are they really happy with Redfearn or just relieved to see the back of Grayson.
