LUFC McCormack building partnership with Becchio

Leeds United striker Ross McCormack is hoping that he can build a decent partnership with Luciano Becchio in attack for the remainder of the season.

The duo both scored in the win at Bristol City on Saturday. The second time this has happened in three games and McCormack is hoping the goals will now come more freely for the pair.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, McCormack said, "Luciano has been injured, missed a little bit of the season and comeback around October.

"He has probably not scored as many as he would have liked but the goals are coming and hopefully we can build up a decent relationship."

McCormack netted his fourteenth championship goal of the season on Saturday and his fourth in six games and he is now back to his early season form when he netted nine times in ten games.

Becchio returned from injury in September and scored as a substitute in his first game of the season against Crystal Palace.

He had to wait until the end of November for his first championship start of the season but he has now been a regular from the start since.

The clubs leading goalscorer last season is now beginning to look like the player who netted 56 times in his first three seasons with the club.

His goal at Bristol City made it three goals in six games and he has now scored five times this season.
