LUFC Club inundated with credible approaches

Leeds United have said they are getting plenty of interest in the vacant manager`s position but have yet to approach anyone for the job.

A statement of the official website states:

The club can confirm that they have been inundated with credible approaches for the vacant managerial position since the departure of Simon Grayson and his staff on Wednesday.

The club will begin the process of examining the expressions of interest early next week.

We can confirm at this moment in time that no approaches have been made, either directly or indirectly, to potential candidates, either in work or currently looking for employment, although we have been offered the services of many who are currently in work.

Simon Grayson along with his backroom team of Glynn Snodin, Ian Miller and Andy Beasley were all dismissed on Wednesday following the 4-1 home defeat to Birmingham City on Tuesday night, leaving Leeds in tenth place in the championship.

Neil Redfearn will be in temporary charge of the side when they travel to Bristol City on Saturday.

Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark is the current bookies favourite to take over from Simon Grayson with his odds slashed from 10/1 to 5/2 yesterday whilst Neil Warnock`s odds drifted to 3/1.
