LUFC Young goalkeeper joins Barrow

Young Leeds United goalkeeper Alex Cairns has signed for Non-League Barrow on loan.

Cairns has signed for the Blue Square conference club for a month to gain some first team experience.

The 19 year old made his Leeds debut at the beginning of November when he replaced Paul Rachubka at half time in the home game with Blackpool.

The keeper signed his first professional contract with the club in the summer when he signed a one-year deal and he was rewarded at the start of this year when he signed a new two-year deal at Elland Road.
