LUFC Grayson closing in on deal for player

LUFC Grayson closing in on deal for player

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson says they are close to completing another signing with the transfer window closing on Tuesday evening.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, "One deal is moving a lot closer than one or two others and we are trying to secure the services of players to make us better for the rest of the season.

"Things will gather pace. A game on Tuesday night does not help the situation in terms of preparation.

"We might get some bodies in but we won`t be able to probably play them on Tuesday night."

Grayson has brought in Robbie Rogers so far on an eighteen-month deal whilst Danny Pugh has competed a two and a half year deal from Stoke City after spending three months on loan at the club.

Leeds have also brought in Andros Townsend and Fabian Delph on loan.

Townsend has joined from Tottenham Hotspur for the remainder of the season, whilst former player Delph has signed until February 25th with Leeds hoping to extend this deal.

Leeds have been strongly linked today with a move today for Celtic defender Mark Wilson.

The right back has recently returned from injury and played for Celtic in a behind closed doors friendly against Leeds at Thorp Arch last week, a game Leeds won 2-0.
