LUFC New approach paying off for Snodgrass

LUFC New approach paying off for Snodgrass

Leeds United winger Robert Snodgrass believes his goal return so far this season has been his determination to get into the penalty area more.

The 24 year old is enjoying a successful season in front of goal having netted ten times already this season and he believes he has added attacking the penalty area into his game this season.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Snodgrass said, "You need to get into the area to get the chances and I believe I have added that to my game, in getting myself into the penalty area."

Snodgrass best return since he arrived at Elland Road was in his first season with the club when he netted eleven times.

He followed this up with ten goals in Leeds promotion season in 2009/10.

Leeds first season in the championship was his least productive in front of goal having netted just seven times, ironically all seven coming away from Elland Road.

As well as scoring ten times for Leeds this season, he also netted his first international goal For Scotland when he scored their winner in a 2-1 win over Denmark at Hampden Park in August.

The Scotland international has netted in both his games since coming back into the squad following surgery on his appendix over the festive period, to make it eight goals in his last nine appearances.

Snodgrass is the second Leeds player to hit double figures in the championship for Leeds this season with striker Ross McCormack currently leading the way with twelve.

Only Southampton (Rickie Lambert and Guly Du Prado) have two players as well as Leeds in double figures this season.
