LUFC Leeds United January transfer rumours
We are now two thirds of the way through the January transfer window and the rumours linking Leeds United with a number of players continues.
This week the main talking point has centred around two former academy boys. One leaving and one returning.
Fabian Delph has finally arrived back at Elland Road for a month from Aston Villa.
Early in the week, the rumours started to circulate that club captain Jonny Howson was on his way to Norwich.
Leeds broke their silence in midweek admitting they had accepted an offer for Howson from Norwich. All he needs to do now is pass a medical and agree personal terms.
Two players have joined Leeds on trial this week. Craig Jones has joined from Welsh Premier League side TNS and South African Matty Pattison has also trained at Thorp Arch and scored in a behind closed doors friendly.
The best rumour this week was linking Leeds with Banana Yaya from Cameroon. Not sure if he`s any good but what a great name.
The worrying thing this week has been the rumour of as many players leaving as those joining.
Ross McCormack was rumoured to be present at the Wigan game last Monday along with his agent and Tom Lees and Adam Clayton continue to be strongly linked with a move to Bolton.
Simon Grayson said there would be a number of players leaving this month but at the moment we have seen just youngster Will Hatfield leave and now Jonny Howson to Norwich.
Just over one week to go now until the window closes. Do not worry, Grayson has many 'irons in the fire` and he is at 'advanced stages of negotiations` with one or two players.
Also we are not selling anymore of our first team players - Watch this space.
If you see or hear of anything then feel free to post them in the comments box at the bottom of this article.
