LUFC Rogers gains work permit?

According to reports coming out of America, Leeds United have received international clearance for Robbie Rogers.

The American international winger agreed to join Leeds last week after enjoying a successful trial at Elland Road.

Rogers had failed to play the 75% of international games over the last two years to automatically earn a work permit but Leeds were confident that they would receive clearance, with a glowing reference from American national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann.

The 24 year old arrives at Elland Road after five years in the MLS with Columbus Crew where he made over 100 appearances.

The news was broken on the MLS official website .

Leeds boss Simon Grayson has indicated that Rogers will go straight into the Leeds side when clearance was received.

Ipswich Town are next up for Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday.
