LUFC Delph fits the bill for Grayson

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson would not be drawn on whether he was looking to bring back former player Fabian Delph on loan but he said he would certainly fit the bill.

Leeds have been strongly linked with a move for Delph since the weekend, with the Aston Villa midfielder looking for some regular first team football after struggling for a regular place since signing from Leeds in the summer of 2009.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, 'Fabian Delph a good player who knows about Leeds United because he has been here before.

'His name is being bandied around as if he is available for loan. You're not going to draw me on whether we will do it or not, but he's a player, along with others, that would fit the bill.

'He fits the bill because he knows what this club is about and what it means to play here, but we're working towards one or two deals and I will refuse to name them.'

Leeds have also been linked with a loan move for Villa teammate Eric Lichaj.

The defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Elland Road making sixteen appearances.

Lichaj completed 45 minutes for Villa`s reserves on Tuesday after five months out through injury.
