Leeds United first team coach Glynn Snodin says the club are still working hard to bring in new players and will not panic buy.
Leeds have now won just one of their last six championship games and have slipped to eleventh in the table.
Despite the poor run of results, Leeds are still just three points outside the play off places with twenty games remaining.
Snodin says the club may once again look to bring in fringe players but they must be of a quality that will get them back into the promotion race.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Snodin said, "We are working hard to bring one or two in and that is what we need to do. We need to strengthen the squad for the last push now.
"We will be working in the next 5-7 days in getting them in, you can look for fringe players, we learnt that last season.
"We need to push on and kick on and get into that top six and then look to get into the top two after that. We have to make sure that we do not panic buy and get the right ones in, the ones that we want and can cope with it and take us to where we want to go."
Leeds have so far brought in Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend for the remainder of the season and signed Danny Pugh permanently after he had spent the last three months on loan from Stoke City.
American international winger Robbie Rogers has also signed for the club although they are still waiting for international clearance before he can be added to the Leeds side.
Leeds continue to be linked with a number of players including a couple of ex-whites.
Aston Villa duo Fabian Delph and Eric Lichaj are believed to be on the Leeds radar and could join on loan.
Delph started his career at Elland Road, making his name during the 2008/09 season before signing for Villa in the summer of 2009. Delph suffered a cruciate knee ligament in his first season with Villa and has struggled for a regular place in the side. Villa boss Alex McLeish is looking to send Delph out on loan to get some regular football with a number of clubs rumoured to be interested.
Lichaj joined Leeds on loan last season, he made 16 appearances between February and May, and he was a consistent performer at right back.
The 23 year old was rumoured to be on his way back to Elland Road in August before suffering a hip injury, which has seen him only recently return to training.
