Young Leeds United player Zac Thompson is hoping to keep his place in the Leeds side after starting the last two games.
Thompson started the game with Burnley in midfield on January 2nd before an injury to Patrick Kisnorbo forced him into the right back position.
He stayed there for the trip to Arsenal on Monday and produced a good performance on the Leeds right.
Thompson is happy to play wherever boss Simon Grayson wants to play him and he is hoping he can do enough to stay in the side for the remainder of the season.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Thompson said, "Centre midfield or right back but I am comfortable in both but I will play wherever the gaffer wants to put me. If I keep going the way I am going, and I do not see why not, then it is up to the gaffer. I just want to keep playing until the end of the season."
Thompson joined Leeds last January after a successful trial at Thorp Arch after being released by his boyhood club Everton.
He signed a short-term deal with the club keeping him at Elland Road until the end of last season and he was rewarded with a one-year deal in the summer.
Thompson, who celebrated his 19th birthday last week made his first appearance for Leeds in the 1-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough in August when he came off the bench and he also came off the bench in the next home game with Hull City.
He started his first game for Leeds in the Carling Cup win at Doncaster in August before an ankle injury ruled him out for six weeks.
Thompson is part of a fresh faced back four at the moment with the average age just 21.
Darren O`Dea (24), Tom Lees (21) and Aidy White (20) make up the defence and things certainly look good for the future.
