LUFC Snodgrass touch and go for the weekend

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson says influential midfielder Robert Snodgrass is touch and go for the weekend clash at Crystal Palace.

Snodgrass has missed the last three games since undergoing keyhole surgery on his appendix.

The midfielder has returned to training this week but Grayson is not going to rush Snodgrass back with options available to him on the wings.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Grayson said, "Snodgrass has trained again and he`s going to be touch and go for the weekend. When he does come back, we`ve got Townsend too and other exciting options in the squad."

Townsend has started both games since his arrival on loan for the remainder of the season from Tottenham Hotspur.

Ramon Nunez and Lloyd Sam are also available, with Nunez starting the last two games.

Grayson is still looking to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window and he believes he is just a couple of good signings away from a side competing for a promotion place, "A couple of additions on top of that would help us to have a good end to the season. We know we need to strengthen the squad and one or two extra players to supplement things would be ideal," continued Grayson.

As well as Townsend joining during January, Danny Pugh has completed his deal on a permanent basis from Stoke City and American international winger Robbie Rogers has signed from MLS side Columbus Crew.

Leeds are still awaiting international clearance for Rogers who has played eighteen times for the national side.
