LUFC Grayson hoping Snoddy will be back for Palace

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is hoping influential midfielder Robert Snodgrass will be back in time for the trip to Crystal Palace on January 14th.

Snodgrass has not featured for Leeds since the game at Derby County on Boxing Day, after requiring keyhole surgery on his appendix.

The Scotland international, who has been the pick of the Leeds players in recent months, missed the defeat at Barnsley and the win over Burnley over the festive period.

Grayson says he will definitely be missing the trip to Arsenal on Monday in the FA Cup.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post , Grayson said, "He`s coming on but obviously the operation will rule him out of Arsenal."

The winger was the scorer in the tie at Arsenal last season when he coolly scored from the penalty spot.

Grayson is however hoping he will be back in training next week in time to be considered for the trip to Palace

"We`re hopeful that he might be back training in the middle of next week with the possibility of being involved in the Crystal Palace game but that will be on doctor`s orders depending on how the injury`s cleared up," continued Grayson.

Snodgrass has already netted on eight occasions this season, beating his tally for the whole of last season by one already.
