LUFC Elite referee to take charge of Arsenal clash

FIFA appointed referee Mark Clattenberg will be the man in charge of the FA Cup tie between Arsenal and Leeds United at the Emirates on Monday night.

The North East official has taken charge of 18 games so far this season, showing 61 yellow cards (3.38 per game) and 5 reds.

Last season he took charge of 40 game showing 123 yellow cards (3.07 per game) and 7 reds.

He is yet to take charge of a Leeds game this season.

Last season he was in charge of Leeds on two occasions. In the first, Leeds were held to a 3-3 draw at Elland Road by Barnsley in a game where he showed Leeds midfielder Bradley Johnson a red card.

He was also in charge of Leeds final game of the season when they won 2-1 at Queens Park Rangers.

He has taken charge of Arsenal on two occasions already this season. The first was in September when they defeated Bolton 3-0 at the Emirates with Bolton having defender David Wheater sent off.

He was also in charge of their 4-0 win at Wigan Athletic in December.
