LUFC Leeds Fans view v Burnley

LUFC Leeds Fans view v Burnley

Tiny T gives us his usual fans view from the games at Elland Road.

This time it is after the dramatic win over Burnley.

Lonergan 5
Hesitant all game, distribution weak and could possibly have been at fault for the goal.

Bruce 6
Started at right back but moved into the centre when Kisnorbo went off injured. A decent enough game but he tends to launch it.

Kisnorbo 4
Should he have started? Possibly not but the injury will force whoever is in charge to leave him out.

O'Dea 5
A couple of decent balls forward, but he was at fault for the goal with a weak clearance. He looked slow and indecisive at times.

White 6
Occasionally caught out but got forward well to support Townsend. He needs to put in quality balls when given the chance.

Townsend 7 Star man
Troubled the Burnley back line with his pace and he was never afraid to go for goal. Odd time he should have let a better-placed player have the ball rather than do it himself.

Thompson 6
He didn't look out of place at right back, got forward well in support of Sam.

Clayton 5
A better game, though he needs to up the tempo at times.

Pugh 5
Worked hard, distribution could be quicker though.

Nunez 5
He delivered some decent balls into the box during the second half. A couple of shots at goal and a great free kick. He needs to put his foot in where he might get hurt though.

Becchio 4
Some good knock downs in the first half. Unfortunately, everyone was sat deep. He needs to receive decent ball and up his work rate.

Subs
Forssell 2

He should have scored.

McCormack 3
He scored but did little else, not interested in his teammates after he scored, only wanted the limelight for himself.

Sam 4
Another who promises a lot but doesn't deliver.

Summary
An improved performance of late but he needs to be much better.

We needed a goal and Grayson takes off Becchio and replaces him with Forssell. Where I sit we were all mystified with this.

Finally, the decision has been made with Kisnorbo set for a lengthy time on the sidelines, he will not have to be dropped.

It is time for quality signings to come in and Townsend looks like one of them. We need a centre half and a ball winner in midfield and another Striker is necessary. I think McCormack will be leaving this month.

Looking forward, were unbeaten in 2012, long may it continue but performances will have to improve.

We need Snodgrass [up to a month] and Howson [middle of March] back. Lees could be fit for Arsenal.

Thanks for your views Tiny.
