LUFC Leeds make first signing in January window
Leeds United have made their first signing of the January transfer window by signing Andros Townsend on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The midfielder has joined Leeds until the end of the season.
The 20 year old has made seven appearances for Spurs in the Europa League this season and he recently signed a new long-term deal at the club.
Townsend scored in the 4-0 Europa League win at Shamrock Rovers in December.
He made one appearance for Spurs last season, scoring in the 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup.
The midfielder spent most of last season on loan in the championship, enjoying spells at Ipswich Town, Watford and Millwall.
Townsend will go straight into the squad for the home game with Burnley on Monday.

He is certainly a player who will excite you. A very tricky and skillful left footed winger, decent size at around 6', great driving pace, with an eye for a spectacular goal
