LUFC Barnsley v Leeds Form Guide

Vital Leeds looks at the form of both Barnsley and Leeds United ahead of the clash at Oakwell on New Year`s Eve.

The two sides only met at the end of last month with Barnsley winning 2-1 at Elland Road.

The tykes come into the game on the back of a 3-1 home defeat to Blackpool on Boxing Day.

They have now conceded eight goals in their last two home games after being beaten 5-3 by Ipswich earlier in the month.

After a good run of four successive wins, they have now lost three in a row.

So far this season at home, they have won five, drawn two and lost five.

They have only failed to score in one of their twelve home games this season when Southampton beat them 1-0 in their opening home game of the season.

Barnsley are currently in 16th place with 30 points from 23 games.

Leeds
Last time out Leeds lost 1-0 at Derby County on Boxing Day.

It was only their second defeat on the road in their last nine games.

The defeat makes it just one point from their last three games.

So far this season away from home, Leeds have won five, drawn three and lost four.

Leeds have netted 21 times away from home this season, more than any other side in the championship.

Robert Snodgrass has netted four times in Leeds last four away games, scoring twice at Burnley and once at Nottingham Forest and Watford.

Leeds are currently in 8th place with 35 points from 23 games.
