LUFC Grayson looking to add to squad quickly

LUFC Grayson looking to add to squad quickly

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is hoping to add to his squad as soon as the transfer window opens next week.

Grayson has seen his side drop out of the play off places over Christmas and he is also having to do without club captain Jonny Howson until around February with a knee injury.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, "There`s a possibility something might happen quite quickly. We`ve made enquiries to the relevant clubs about players and we`re working hard on what we want to do."

Leeds have already been linked with a move for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Keith Andrews whose loan with Ipswich Town is coming to an end.

Andrews chose Ipswich ahead of Leeds in the summer but it is rumoured he is now keen on a move to Elland Road.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Andros Townsend is also being linked with a loan move from White Hart Lane.

The 20 year old has made seven appearances for Spurs in the Europa League this season and boss Harry Redknapp is looking to loan out the midfielder who recently signed a new long-term deal at the club.

Townsend scored in the 4-0 win at Shamrock Rovers earlier in the month and he is also rumoured to be a target for Millwall and Leicester City.

The midfielder spent most of last season on loan in the championship, enjoying spells at Ipswich Town, Watford and Millwall.
