LUFC Derby v Leeds Team News

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson may make changes to the side for their trip to Derby County on Boxing Day.

Leeds were beaten 1-0 at Reading last Saturday and Grayson stated during the week that far too many players have underperformed in the last two games.

Grayson must make a decision whether to stick with Andy Lonergan in goal after he returned to the side last weekend for the first time since breaking a finger in October.

Lonergan replaced on loan keeper Alex McCarthy who was ineligible to play against his parent club.

Jonny Howson is still missing for Leeds as he recuperates from a knee injury.

Davide Somma has returned to light training after requiring surgery on a cruciate knee ligament injury in the summer and he is still a long way from a return to first team football.

Derby will have to do without Jeff Hendrick who is out with an ankle ligament injury.

Paul Green is likely to move back into midfield to replace Hendrick after playing at right back recently with John Brayford injured.

Brayford is fit again and he returned in the 1-0 defeat at Ipswich Town last weekend.

Steve Davies is the only other play definitely out with a head injury.

Strikers Nathan Tyson and Theo Robinson will be pushing for a start after returning recently for injury.
