LUFC Grayson looking for spark from players

LUFC Grayson looking for spark from players

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is looking for his players to rediscover the spark that has been missing for the last two games.

Leeds have picked up just one point from a possible six in their last two games, with a disappointing home defeat to Reading and scraping at point at Watford thanks to a 95th minute penalty.

Grayson says the recent form has him scratching his head after they had picked up twelve points from a possible fifteen prior to the game at Watford and he is looking for his players to rediscover their spark in the busy festive period.

Speaking on the official website , Grayson said, "It does not matter if you are home or away, but we need that spark back. All managers scratch their heads at times, and you think about certain things and why they happened."

Leeds away form has been the catalyst of their climb into the play off places this season having won five of their last seven on the road.

The Whites face tricky trips to Derby County and Barnsley between Christmas and the New Year.

The clash at Derby will be the first time the two sides have met this season after Derby completed the double over Leeds last season.

Barnsley won at Leeds 2-1 less than a month ago and are unbeaten in the three games between the two sides since Leeds returned to the championship last season.

Barnsley inflicted Leeds heaviest defeat last season when they won 5-2 at Oakwell in September, despite taking an early lead through Jonny Howson.
