LUFC Bates in charge at Derby

Anthony Bates will be the man in charge when Leeds United travel to Derby County on Boxing Day.

The Staffordshire official has taken charge of 19 games so far this season, showing 52 yellow cards (2.73 per game) and no reds.

Last season he took charge of 40 games, showing 100 yellow cards (2.5 per game) and 4 reds.

His last game in charge of Derby was last season, also in the Christmas programme, when they were heavily defeated 5-2 at near neighbours Nottingham Forest.

It will be exactly a year since he last took charge of a Leeds United game. On that occasion, he booked six players in a 2-2 draw at Leicester City.

He was also in charge of Leeds game at Nottingham Forest last season when the two sides drew 1-1.
