LUFC Clayton still confident despite blip in form

Leeds United midfielder Adam Clayton is still confident and says the last two games have been just a blip.

Leeds have picked up just one point in their last two games against Watford and Reading and despite the results, they remain in the play-off places.

With the busy festive period coming up, with Leeds facing three games in seven days, Clayton believes that if the side can remain in the play-off places, it will be a decent result.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post , Clayton said, "If we come out of the Christmas period with a play-off place then I think that`ll be a decent result for us.

"I still feel very confident because we`ve given every team a game at home and away, bar Blackpool and Southampton. We`ll be thereabouts if we keep that up.

"It`s hard to say why we`ve had these last two performances because before that we put in very good performances against Forest and Millwall.

"I can`t put my finger on what`s happened but I look at it and think that if this can be a blip then it`s not the worst blip you could ever have - to get a draw at Watford and then lose one game."

Clayton has been enjoying a successful season in the side having made twenty-three appearances and netting five times.

What exactly does the word 'blip' mean. I remember it being banded around in our promotion season. A blip that seemed to last three months and the same again last season. Maybe we should change our names to Leeds blip United!!

Needs to lift his game rather than talk about it.
