LUFC Pugh happy to see busy period

Leeds United on loan midfielder Danny Pugh is looking forward to a busy festive period to right the wrongs of the last few performances.

Leeds have produced two performances well below par in the last two games against Watford and Reading.

A last minute Robert Snodgrass penalty rescued a point at Watford but they could do nothing to turn around an early-conceded goal against Reading at Elland Road at the weekend.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Pugh said, "It`s good that there`s a lot of games over Christmas and it`s a busy period for us."

"Hopefully we can turn the last couple of results around and start flying back up the table again.

"I don`t think we`re in a bad position at all - there`s still half the season to go and if we can be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, I think we`ll be in with a good shout."

Despite the poor performances in the last two games, Leeds remain sixth in the championship table, eight points behind West Ham in the second automatic promotion space.

Leeds away form has been good this season, they are unbeaten in their last five and have won six of their last eight on the road.

Leeds travel to Derby County on Boxing Day, before visiting Barnsley for their final game of the year on New Year`s Eve.

The New Year starts with a home game against Burnley on January 2nd.
